hi i just happen to chance upon your lj, its awesome, and i am very much inspired to go on a trip like you, when we're still young.
however, i am very clueless. can you answer my questions? would really appreciate it very much :)
1. do you pitch a tent for accomodation, or do you stay in hotels? 2. the most expensive part should be the air ticket right? 3. share with us some of you scary or freaky incidents?
sorry for my brief reply but i´m traveling in iceland now and i dont have much time with the computer. If you like you can add me on Facebook or send me a message there in the coming weeks if you have more questions. I dont check my blog too frequently. supernova1378 at hotmail.com
1) i am pitching a tent in iceland because its more of a nature place. but i dont do this in cities. I stay in youth hostels (www.hostelworld.com) or use Couch Surfing (www.couchsurfing.com). Check out Couch Surfing, its a cool idea.
2) Air ticket is a given expense. But for the trip itself the accomodation would be the most ex. followed by food. followed by internal travel (bus, trains whatever).
You can travel cheap but it depends on how cheap you are willing to go. For example i dont shop alot, but when it comes to museums and stuff i just pay the amount and go in because its once in a life time. there are people who travel alot cheaper than me. good research is impt before your trip.
3) Not had any bad incidents i guess. Was nearly robbed once, but thank god. some people will try and cheat you here and there at times (not so much in europe but other parts of the world). Someone wanted to spike my drink once, but didnt happen. nothing unfortuante has happend to my actually. i´m pretty safe most of the time and i dont get into much trouble.
Shant, it's Elle. Hope you're good. I heard what happened. I added you on LJ, so add me back okay (: So AT LEAST I KNOW how yr doing. Updates soon, yes?
